The contractors took the measurements over a year ago and I've been waiting ever since for the installation (I was quite happy with the older set but I supposed they want consistency throughout the building as every apartment was said to be different already from the others). They finally ripped out the old ones and installed the new stuff between 9am and 2pm today. The new cupboards are nice but they are smaller than the older ones so the wall displays a big yellowish fringe around them that marks the extra space occupied by the previous set. I'll have the landlord paint that ugliness away soon. Good thing is there were only a few dead roaches under the sink cabinet when they ripped it off.
