Finally going to sell my truck.

Murano is definitely a keep. Truck I dont need or want any more.

NADA says its worth 9000, Blue Book says 11000. Which one is more realistic?

I intend to try the Chevy dealership first but am betting they only wanna do a trade-in for a new car. Will also try the local small dealers but I dont know if they will try to low-ball me or not. My mechanic also expressed an interest and if nobody else can get near 9000 I think I will just sell it to him. He hasnt quoted a number yet.

would have to know WTF you are talking about first, NADA/KDD doesnt equate well in certain markets/vehicles

on another note, I say its worth...........9726.78 basd on the OP 🙂

My market is the suburbs of Northern Virginia.
I dont know what a KDD is. Does the NADA or Blue Book value seem more reasonable for a Chevy S10 ZR2 with 55 thousand miles and a Viper remote start alarm?

Oh, and a Pioneer DVD navigation system.

Like zargon said, we need more details.

An s10 could be worth almost anything depending on condition and pics.

Little trucks have a bit of a cult following, I was very surprised at the 'actual' value of my beater truck (98 ranger in good condition) compared to KBB.

...Year, exact condition, smokers car, extended cab, extended bed, power windows, paint condition, suspension/engine condition... Details man, details.

I wouldn't go by ebay. I would go to autotrader.com and see what your year/make is going for. Keep in mind you will probably want to price yours a little below dealership prices if you are selling it yourself.

in my area, NADA is a much more accurate than KBB. I would just search craigs and see what people are asking for similar vehicles

I'm not selling a god damn thing.
Carfax has a mileage inconsistency. Nobody is going to buy it until I get that issue fixed.

Also it would seem that 3000 dollars doesnt buy much a paint job any more. The dealer noticed a few little imperfections and said he didnt like that at all. Also would not buy for that reason.

If I cant get these issue fixed then I may have to drive this sucker into the ground. Knew I should have sold the truck first then bought my car. Now if I try to sell the car back I lose 20 percent.

FUCK!

Sell it privately then. Someone that won't nit pick about the paint or car too much about the mileage. Look at the going rate of similar trucks and Craigslist and either match or undercut for a quicker sale.

Just do a better job at listing. I hate two picture car ads with no remote location. Don't write super long passages just short and sweet bullet points and common questions.

Sell privately. The car paint if it was ok to you it will be to the right private seller; they won't notice it.

The carfax I do think you need to get resolved. I think it reasonable for a person to buy it and even if they don't carfax it, should this issue come up in the future it's understandable they'd want resolution. I don't know what that entails, though and maybe it's extremely common to get that no carfax (?).

You'll make more private party anyway. It's a pain in the ass of course, but selling cars generally is either a pain in the ass from time spent dealing with idiots or pain in the ass from the pain the dealer just gave you low balling.

I sold my last car without even putting putting it on Craigslist. Since I live in the a small town in the South, I just parked it in the side yard, and sure enough some one stopped as they were driving by and bought the thing.

I live in an HOA. They dont allow that. Would have to ask the local restaurant if I could park it in their lot.
