I loved those keyboards back in the day. They actually are one of the highest quality keyboards out there... even when they are 5+ years old...

I had an old IBM keyboard with a GREAT feel, but it was loud. Incredibly loud. So loud that people working around me kept hiding it. They called it the machine gun (I type at about 70 WPM when I get rolling). This thing was so old that it had a full-sized DIN plug, but man it had a great feel.

My boss got so annoyed at me typing during conference calls that he told me to go out and buy ANY other keyboard I wanted and expense it.

Now that I think about it, it's still in my lab and I do have a new boss and cube neighbors. Maybe it's time to get it back out again!

Wooah I have one of those, its almost as loud as a typewriter, non electric.LOL

AT board plug right?hahah

I went through all of mine. They were all vintage DEC keyboards with the best "touch" ever. One by one they started to fail. I'm pretty happy with the feel of the current membrane keyboards, and the low prices help cushion the migration.

You have no keyboard for your computer? How did you type that?

I had a friend who was without a keyboard for a couple of days, and he had to copy and paste from Character Map.
