Nice stuff.

Though, I think whoever designed the Autococker needed to make it a bit more complex.

Lol, no joke. When it's tuned it runs like a dream, pure perfection. However, every once in awhile it likes to say "Fvck you, I'm not going to work today!"

I'm here...

We here in central Illinois got a perfect day for paintball this weekend (considering it's only the first week of February). Although it's normally about 20-30 degrees this time of year, it was nearly 60 on Saturday, and we got our first chance to get together and play (we have a private field, and about 30 people showed up). We had a game scheduled for a couple of weeks ago, but the 20 degree temps, snow, and 40 mph winds with white-out conditions put a bit of damper on that...

I don't play with people who have full autos.. then again I like the manual guns. Those are the fun ones where your really can't spray. Alot of it is skill..

I'm to embarrased to post pics of my duck-tape grip spyder and popsicle stick beaver tail.

:)

Edit: this cold winter is killing me, definate paintball withdrawel. and my last game sucked because there were like 60people at the field, and one ref. So every game would be 20-40 people on a 10man field. i was pushing little kids with tippy's out into the open so i could take the crappiest bunker on the field. It was actually kind of funny.

I like my '98 cocker. It did take a little tinkering and a lot of upgrades to get it look and work the way I wanted it. Black body, red ANS front end, reb WGP swing triger, and FREAK system.

My mini-mag is grey with a red splash AA smartparts barrel.

My Spyder A hangs on the wall.

I never did get used to my Cocker. Back in '98 I won one in an online giveaway (the origin of my screen name), but I just couldn't get the hang of the full pull/full release sequence and continually short-stroked it, chopping balls like crazy (this was just before the hinge triggers made they're debut).

I ended up selling it and picking up one of the original PI-E1 Black Draguns off of eBay for cheap, then drilled out my VA and added a CIP delrin bolt and trigger, Palmer Stabilizer, high-flow valve, J&J Ceramic barrel and a Ricochet 2K0 hopper. Haven't regretted giving up the Cocker one bit...

Agreed. I have an electronic trigger, but it's still just a semi-auto. I've thought about trying a pump for awhile, just to sharpen my skills.

On Saturday when we played, there were two kids there from a local tournament team. I couldn't begin the guess the amount of paint they wasted running their guns on full auto without getting a hit. We play woodsball, and these guys were used to tournament-style play. It was fun to take a couple of shots at them, lay back while they wasted half a hopper each on my area, sit back up and put a couple of more shots at them, let them waste the rest of the paint in their hoppers, and finally just shoot them. :D

Moving from my mini-mag to the autococker did take some getting use to. The main problem that people have with the autcockers is that they do not take the time to learn how to time the gun. There use to be a very good website "Ravi's Paintball Place" that went through in detail on how to set up the maker correctly. Even out of the box from WGP most of them still need tuning.

I havd a friend that will start the day playing with his mag and swich to his SL-II or WGP Sniper (A pump version of the autococker).

Man I remember when paintball guns were called guns & not markers, back when Atlanta Blue was a premier team back in the late 80's. I miss playing so much, but I still have my .68 Minimag I got custom anodized by Airgun Designs back before everyone has splash anodizing & such. That gun was so sick back then, but it's probably just a decent semi by now...man I hated cockers, only because I had a Mag...lol

Tipmann is a great maker for rec players. If anyone asks me what maker to buy the first one on my list is Tipmann. My first pump gun was a SL-II that still works today.

I am selling my Minimag, custom anodized with a crown point barrell. It's really cool, but I would want at least $300 for all my stuff.

If you don't know if you like the game or not then just go with a bunch of your friends and use the rental equipment. When shopping from maskes I would recamending trying on the mask and see if feels right to you. For masks I like JT. I have one mask that is clear for indoor play and one that has a dark tint for outside.
