Finally Get to overclock my SL6RZ!!

After 1 month of waiting, i finally get to overclock my 2.4b sl6rz. I had it in my old system which could hold agp/pci so i didnt even bother overclocking. I got it in my it7 max now and have started ocing.

Prelim results:

150 FSB: SUCCESS
160 FSB: So far so good!!

180 FSB was a success, but had to increment vcore to 1.55.

are you stressing the cpu or just doing some Sandra/PCmark2002 tests ?


Cause mine does very well 174 just for running the normal stuff, no 100%...

Prime 95 in the background and burnin cd's and doin regular stuff is my way of testing really. Follow that up with some 3dmark 2003.

thats the real stresstesting...do ur normal stuff + the ohtert stuff that others tell ya

like do what u normally do, plus add prime95 into the mix....and then when ur not on the pc, prime95 + loops of 3dmark2001se or 3dmark03....and dont turn it off for like a couple or more weeks while continueing that routine

if it survives that, its pretty damn stable lol

Damnit i get the cold boot at 180 FSB on my it7 MAX. I have to drop it down to 170 for things to be good. Oh well, 3.06 ghz is nice. I still need to tweak more though and figure out why i couldnt cold boot at 180, but i dont have the time.
