I don't exactly know the genre, but the song is:

Pizzicato Five - Baby Love Child

From the episode where Leela discovers her parents, and they show all the things they did for her as she was growing up at the end, this is the song playing during that little montage. Very emotional for a cartoon!

For some reason, it took me a little while to google this, but I finally found it!
