Well after much searching my GF and I found a place to rent, and got a good deal in the process.

2 bedroom
1 1/2 bath
central a/c
all appliances (washer, dryer, fridge, dish washer)
back patio area

It's in a nice neighborhood where we already know a few of the people.
The land lord is cool (we talked to the lady that has rented it for the last 10 years)

all for the low low price of $1050/mo. + utils (maint. fees included)
We can move in as soon as it is painted and inspected. Although I still have my current house until the
end of June.

<edit> It also cuts my commute from 45 to 15 minutes!

Wow sounds like the townhouse im trying to get into. 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath. central a/c, all appliances except for the washer/dryer, all utils included, and a patio area. all for the low low price of $1300/month + $20/month cat fee.

Monmouth County, NJ

wow, thats more than my mortgage payment.

It's also half what I'm currently paying ;)

2K an month currently in rent that is absurd

if you can afford that you can easily afford a house from 300K - 450K
I dont know what that gets you in your area but it should be at least as good as place your renting
and at least you can sell it when you want to move out provided you dont move a whole lot

I just graduated and got a job will be buying a car and right after that will be saving up for a house because imo rent is throwing money down the drain especially at 2K a month
