Had the game laying around for the past year, would always start up a game something would come up and I would forget about it. Finally finished it....



did anyone else spooge themselves when they got the uber super Grav gun towards then end?

Ep2 stat!
 
I never really finished the first one, maybe I should, but I just dont get the story. Mostly how it go's from the first to the second, and so much has changed, and G-Man.

Is this ever explained?
 
how did you not finish this game the day after it was released? I mean seriously I have bought 2 computer games in my entire life, and I play computer games alot. They are Half-Life 1 & 2, these 2 games along with the associated mods after cost me what like 100$, and I have spent WAAAY more time then I am proud of playing them, deffinitely the best investments I ever made. In summary: Half-Life ownz so much its not even fair.

Just kinda fell out of love with gaming for a year or so. Just so happened to be the time HL2 was released.
 
I love HL2, it so accuratly portrays how I imagine a fascist state / internal rebellion within would be that it boggles my mind. I'm more interested in the story line regarding people unhappy w/ their living conditions and their leader's tyranical rule than I am with the aliens warping in from xen (or wherever).

It's just so friggen satisfying to over throw a gov't, what a great game.
 
I finished HL2 using 19" CRT with x800pro.

Had to reinstall HL2 and played it again on 24" widescreen LCD with x1900xt. It was BLISS.









Oh, and by the way, steam sucks......still.

Episode 1 seemed so short I would be hesitant to get Episode 2....

Except for the fact that it will have TF2 and Portals... yeah I'll buy it the hour it is released. 😛
 
If you cant appreciate HL2 simply for the game itself with its pretty nice graphics and "no loading screen" gameplay... Go play a different game. HL2 was awesome.

I haven't been keeping up with HL2 after finishing the main game, so I don't know jack about the followup episodes, so what is portal?

Ep1 & 2 are just mini sequals. Something like expansion packs.

Portal is an independent game, AFAIK that looks really neat.
