Fvcking enter key.

Now my problem is how can I have them be two separate displays rather than the second display just mimicking the first? You know, where there's only one mouse cursor for both screens and you just go across the gap to reach the other screen.

I still can't get it right guys. The second monitor is active under the display thing but when I hit identify it still shows as 1. :(

Edit: Forgot to hit apply. Heh

Okay, only problem now is when I go to drag something from my primary display, it does not resize it to fit the smaller screen. Primay is 19" and secondary is 17".

I take it I helped?

To fix problem #2...get ultramon. It won't autoresize on drag, but using the move to other monitor button, it will (also, I have set that to a hotkey, [ctrl]-[alt]-m)

No, read my edit. I forgot to hit the apply key. Actually that setting was already defaultly checked, I really don't know what the problem was, but your effort was appreciated and confirmed that I was doing it right.

I also figured out that I just had to change the resolution on both monitors to the same thing. I don't understand why everyone uses 1280x1024 when that's not a 4:3 ratio though.

I second the ultramon recommendation. Try the demo. It's a great program. The problem is that it's pretty expensive for a little app ($40).

I'll check it out. Sounds pretty useful but $40 is kinda steep for me right now.

i love duallies, and the latest Cats let you easily clone the movie on the secondary monitor full screen in theater mode :D

As well as massive WMV_HD acceleration, 1080p smooth as butter and about mid 60s CPU usage>j00 :)

i love duallies and my 9800 pro in fact :D

Has RossMAN been spreading rumors about my epenis again?

I know, I feel kind of dumb because every time I ask a question I answer it 5 seconds later. But now I need to figure out how to keep WMP from exiting full-player mode whenever I click on the desktop of THIS monitor. Doesn't make sense to me why it would affect the other monitor but whateva. I'm still new to all this.

it always will, you loose focus ;)
like when you are in a game, if i click on something else on the other screen that comes to the front.

However the latest Cats (5.6) let you get around that...

Awwww that's retarded. I'll just have to be careful I guess. Does it do it to any other players?

 for duallies (or in my case, triplies) and I  my 6800GT. Just FYI, I used to get a big performance hit in 3D games if I had my second monitor on. My 6800GT doesn't seem to take any hit with monitor #2 on. :D

never had a problem with the 2nd monitor, IIRC that was a nvidia driver problem a while back, fixed now.

Sorry, I was unclear, lol. I had that problem back when I had a 9600Pro. It went away when I switched to the 6800GT.
