Finally! COD4 Beta rank cap increase.

"Hey Everyone ?

Straight to the Point: The Level Cap Is Rising!

Friday morning at 10 am PDT (1 pm EST) we?re going to be increasing the Rank level cap to Level 16. This is going to allow you to rank up and unlock more weapons, more perks, and more features; including Clan Tags (lv. 12). This is the first of several level increases we?re going to do throughout the beta, so keep playing, and we?ll keep you informed of incoming updates. Thanks to everyone currently playing for the tremendous amount of feedback we?ve been receiving; Keep sending it, and we?ll see you online!

Yeah, you basically get points for kills, assisting in kills, and various other stuff such as blowing up choppers.

You unlock weapons, upgrades for weapons, perks, etc as you go up in the ranks.

You can make custom kits and choose your own weapon combos. There are also things called "perks" that you can select up to 3 of which give you special "abilities". The one I like the most is the deep impact one, which lets you shoot through walls.

It's modern warfare now, also. It's much better than the WWII games in my opinion. Everything is up to date with current weapons.

I say we do it. I see a few other AT'ers playing the beta but I've only played with SP2000/EvilComputer so far.

I am totally down for an ATCG Clan.

Man, I just rented Bioshock yesterday, I guess it's going to have to take a backseat to the Beta.

Man, I just rented Bioshock yesterday, I guess it's going to have to take a backseat to the Beta.

A Clan would be great. I've played so far with bucwylde and obscurecaucasian, though it would be awesome if we could get a whole team of ATers! I'm not sure I have everyone who has the beta on my friend's list though.

damn. I tried joining a free for all tonight. Only about 300 in there, couldn't find a match. Maybe everyone is waiting for tomorrow.

I'm playing the beta...but haven't been online a lot because my life has been busy lately. I'm "Facin" online. I'm only up to Sergeant

I really didn't like the game when it was just Free-for-All...just mass killings. I really like the way the Team thing works. You spawn with your team to eliminate spawn killings and it makes for really sweet showdowns. Loving the game.

I have renewed faith in free for all. I played for quite a few matches tonight. There was a guy knifing everyone in sight, it was unreal. We were all amazed, so we had an unofficial knife fight that lasted 2-3 matches, it was so funny. There was some that ignored the rules, but the guy that knifed everyone still won, even with people shooting. The sight of walking into a room, and having 5-6 people trying to cut each other had my rolling.

You get a new SMG(UZI) and a new Pistol (Colt 45). The Uzi is not as good as the MP5 in my opinion, the smoke it creates actually blocks your red dot sight. MP5 for life.

Didn't notice that very much, but it's better than the scorpion. Overall, I need a new rank increase, I hit 16 in the matter of about an hour of playtime.

Is this games multiplayer better than rainbow 6? Do they play on more than just one stupid map over and over?

There's 3 maps for now ... honestly, not sure how to compare it to R6V, but it's the only MP game I've been playing for the past two weeks.

R6:V isn't the same type of game, honestly. R6 is a slower paced game for the most part. COD4 is an extremely fast paced game, especially free-for-alls.

I prefer R6, but COD4 is definitely fun. You don't have much of a choice on maps for the beta, 3 available so yes, you will play the same ones over and over

I think the two new ones don't allow party's. So you can't be on the same team with all of your friends.
