Pros:

Private island several beaches to choose from, including honeymoon beach which you reserve for the day no one else is allowed there. Staff is supposedly very very nice. All meals included, beverages extra

Cons: The room that I can afford is not beachfront but beachview 2-3 minute walk to beach. Rooms do not look all that spectacular.

Have you thought about Greek Islands? They are quite nice, and much quieter and cheaper than most tropical destinations.
 
They both look nice, kind of digging the first one myself. We went to Montego Bay, Jamiaca and loved it.

BTW, that pic you posted of Cap Juluca beach is FRIGGING MASSIVE.
 
I haven't made it there yet, but would love to go to St. John
Seems to be much quieter than St. Thomas
 
I've been to Peter Island while sailing from Tortola. Beautiful place, quite secluded. Don't expect a hopping night life, this is a privacy kind of place. That whole region is gorgeous!

Cap Juluca is one of the world's best resorts.

Before we make any good recommendations, tell us what you want to do for your honeymoon. My wife went to a gorgeous place that was boring as hell. If you are young and filled with romance and plan to be on the beach or in the room shagging, it could be perfect to you. If you want to party all night long, go somewhere else...

I was going to suggest Italy but 5 days isnt quite enough...if it were longer you could fly into Pisa, head down to Florence and stay in Sienna( normally rooms are $100 per night)...but ultimately go to Rome..thats the place to really see...

We are both not really into the party seen (got that out of our system in college) Really my idea is to be somewhere that has some activities (snorkeling,etc etc) but also be private enough so she can sport her thong.

 
Then your choice is simple. Peter Island. My wife and I went on our honeymoon and there was activities and plenty of thong sporting going on 😉

If you were looking for more variety in activities, I would suggest one of the many fine beaches in Costa Rica as you could add rain forests and volcano to the activities list.
