It's actually probably a female. I believe it is a hobo spider. The males are more striped. The females have more of the the uniform colored body. Calling it a guy just made the story that much more interesting.

And no, she did not touch my danger zone. Though I did bump her web. I was about to get a great shot too. Oh wells.

Isnt that a simple grass spider? Hobo spiders are supposed to be lethal, correct?

No offense but why don't you resize the pictures so that they are not so large. This will help with the bandwith issues for dwell and RossMan. I mean I have an 18" lcd and I still have to scroll.

Hobo spiders can be lethal just as brown recluse and black widow spiders can be lethal but aren't always. I'm not 100% sure it's a hobo spider. I am going off the identification guidelines from here. I'll look it up in the Audubon spider and insect guide.
