I got tired of deleting stuff on my current 100GB to make room for new stuff so I finally decided to spend the money and get myself a new 200GB Western Digital w/ 8MB cache and 3 year warrantee. I'm going to keep my current 100GB WD w/ 2MB cache to make a total of 300GB! :D Any ideas how I should partiton the 2 and will I be able to move my windows partiton over and have it boot? My friend tried it w/ Win2k and it didn't work. I have Win2k3 Server but I'm tired of it so I'm going back to good old 2k.....

Actually I ran out of space while trying to rip a cd! I couldn't figure out why the rip kept failing.......

You can never have enough free space. I've got 4Gb of updates for games and the such. I would have more but I cant fit that many!

FYI, both my father and I have 200GB 8mb cache WD drives...Periodically, for some reason, the drives just drop all data. We've both lost our drives a total of 4 times (2 each, actually). We have no clue why. Both of us are technically inclined, and it just doesn't make sense. The last time, my father just booted up his computer and 1 of his partions was totally gone. None of his HDD recovery programs worked :(. The two times my drive went out, it'd get all these "delay write failed" and I couldn't XFer anything from or to the drive.

Just a precation. Otherwise, that drive is great!
