Wtf, I beat that game in a month when I was 8 years old. The hardest part was finding some sort of ship to take to Monkey Island.

The sequel(s?), however, is(are?) impossible.

one of the funniest part on the original Monkey Island is how you had to break someone out of jail, and the only way of doing it apparently is by spilling 'grog' (the name of the drink the pirates got drunk with) to the cell's keyhole.

the tricky part is that this 'grog' is so strong that it would melt the cup whenever you put it inside, so you have to collect like 20 cups from the bar, and whenever the cup with 'grog' in it start melting (the item name is actually changing in your inventory at the bottom of the screen), you have to put the grog in a new cup. you have to do this several times all the way from the bar to the jail. lol. that part always crack me up. :) it took me a while to figure that out.

Heh, I never did get that game. Strangely though I managed to beat it years ago.

Monkey Island was great, although i don't remember much about it. Still, my favorite adventure game is The Longest Journey.
