biggien... lord that's a long long thread! lol...

As we sit here this evening, knowing not what lies ahead, but feeling satisfied that we have completed this challenge, we start to wonder. What have we accomplished from these many years of school and what will the future bring? We have been through 13 years, 52 report cards, and several one-way conversations of "raising the roof" across this very stage.

So often we have asked ourselves: Why do we attend school? What do we expect to accomplish? And what do we do now? Questions, whose importance we may not fully understand today, but have drastically molded our futures. This path hasn't been easy to follow, but we navigated through the complications and tribulations to the point we are at now.

Education has supplied us with a commonality, a basic foundation on which we may establish our ideas. These ideas are the essential elements that dominate our lives. Each is unique and special. But just like it is perplexing to communcate without understanding the other person, it is difficult to express ideas without an education.

Tonight, let us than all those who have helped us along the way; our family for their love and support, our teachers for their dedication and encouragement, and our classmates for their friendship and compassion.

In this state of life we are still discovering ourselves and the world around us. Our experiences are lacking, but they will come with the future. We are still struggling for meaning and purpose. As we continue to grow and develop, our understanding will blossom and our convictions will strengthen. We will strive for greater opportunities and a better life, but we must resist being consumed by the world's ideals and instead aspire to live our out own. Live, love and learn. Striving for perfection is admirable, but have the courage to maintain your personal identify. Put your emphasis on your passions, whether it is your education, your true love, your hobbies or your work.

So what have we gained? These last 13 years have prepared us for the journey we are about to embark upon. Education provides us with the skills and the knowledge that we can use to our advantage as we proceed into college or the world of work.

As we venture along our own paths, let us not forget the challenges that we have already achieved and the success we have already accomplished by graduating from high school. But let us also dream of the new experiences that will face us and the good times that will come.

Congratulations Bonk102!!!!!
