I think I would have had the crap scared out of me if I were on that flight. I don't know if I would have thought of the idea of suing them, but I would have just settled if they made an offer.

that'll teach him to be greedy! still, 4000 feet sounds like a long way - how long would it take to fall that far? and it was caused by turbulence yet the pilot had his license suspended.. hmm... Still, that doesn't mean the airline should have to throw piles of cash at everyone - it was traumatic, have $5k. Sounds fair.
