Actually, I think that SUVs make a decent base for a limo. One reason is that the truck chassis is usually more beefy to begin with and can likely more easily be extended than a unibody. Another reason is that the stock engines are likely to have reasonable torque to begin with. Also, SUVs have higher rooflines, thus making for more roomy interiors.

Honestly though the standard C6 vette is rather roomy for what it is.
