Doesn't look like it can really replace a car. Not safe to drive on a freeway. Wheel base isn't wide enough. Swerve a bit and you roll over.
I didnt think there was any chance flying cars would be realistic in my lifetime, but with the proliferation of GPS technology, it doesn't seem that far off. Lets be honest, most people can't drive a car, let alone operate something on 3 planes.
Anyway, the more I think about it, the more I just don't want to see flying vehicles. Why?
Imagine a world where the sky is filled with people flying their vehicles all over the place. Once peaceful quiet lakes and streams in a secluded spot could now be a crossroad of traffic flying between two major cities.
Sure, the roads and highways may disappear and that would eliminate a lot of eye sores, but I can't help but think that nobody gives much thought to all the negatives. People...are...disgusting. Areas that were once completely isolated might be a simple day trip to reach.
The last thing I want when I get away from work, and I am sitting in my boat fishing...is to hear or see some idiot flying his Chevy S10-hundred across the lake.
so you guys are saying it really isn't a helicopter? My first thought is that I see helicopter, I run. those fuckers try to kill you every second those rotors are turning. Seems like a horrible idea to try and get average folk to bite on this thing.
So true, think of the idiots dropping litter out of their air/car into your backyard, or the ones that will try to hover over the superbowl, morons crashing into the phone or electircal wires taking out your service, the list goes on and on.
I truly fear the day when these cars are available to the masses. It will take a few major tragedies before they will eventually be outlawed.
preposterously high cost of ownership, licensing, training, etc should keep the majority of rabble away.
one can hope.
God no...
The people I see on the freeway are barely able to drive a car let alone a helicopter. Fyling cars are a disaster waiting to happen.![]()
my thoughts exactly. there is no way this will ever become mainstream for general consumer use. The only way it will happen is with with hover technology and autopilot so it takes away all human control.

what's the point of flying cars? we already have airplanes.
doesn't drive as well as a car, doesn't fly as well as a plane, seems like a terrible compromise.
is it the terrafugia? if not, check that out. a real flying car that is street legal
