I'll stick with my $10 toaster. Even if it lasts a year, I can buy a toaster a year for 20 years before I reach the price of that thing. And the bonus is, since the turnover is so high, I never have to clean it! :thumbsup:
 
Seriously, at some point some people make enough money to feel no difference between paying $10 for a toaster and paying $300. Of course these items are meant to have limited appeal - that's why they're expensive. But some people might think paying $500 for a video card is silly - at least you can EAT toast...

You can't really compare graphics cards and toasters.
 
Ok, they are wide enough now, but why aren't there more toasters with longer slots?! I don't want to toast my damn bagel, I want to toast my stupid farmer's market bought bread that is just slightly too long for my toaster and so the edges get all screwed up.

a 500$ is superior to a 200$ car, no matter how little ... which is related to how much people make and can justify the difference

ive used those toasters. they SUCK
