Finally! A $200 Toaster!

The KitchenAid toaster we have cost over $100..6 yrs ago...I wouldn't have a problem with paying $200 for a good quality toaster that lasts, BUT, nowdays, almost everything sold under the KitchenAid name is made in China...and IMO, that usually makes the value & quality drop considerably...

For that price it had better have breakfast waiting when I get up in the morning and do the dishes when I leave.

so, it's simpler and has less frills, yet is more expensive? who buys this crap?

You'd be surprised the number of people in this world with more money than sense.

I have a Cuisinart chrome toaster. It was priced at $70, but I bought a refurb for $30. It's been great for the past 5 years and I doubt another $170 would be worth the money.

ive used all of those industrial/commercial toasters. they break down just as often as the cheapies

ill stick with toaster oven

my parents have a brushed steel one that cost 80 bucks or something like that... I guess you pay for the materials.

Toaster oven is important when you wanna make something quick like a slice of pizza or two, but honestly, having lived 18 years at home trying to toast bread on the toaster oven, I think it's heaven to now have a toaster that my roommate brought to our apartment.
