Finallly broke 5Ghz IBT and games stable. Replaced my old (3-4 year old) OCZ 600 PSU with a new Corsair 750 watt and wam more stable.

The old PSU only had 4 of the 8 CPU power pins on the motherboard which looked to be killing my OC ability.

2500k 5Ghz customer loop WC never goes over 60C gaming or IBT. Granted the vcore is a bit higher than I would like at 1.47 ():)

Very nice

My 2600k is 5GHz stable and ironically enough that is with a corsair 850W PSU (upgraded from a 5+yr old corsair 550W PSU).

My voltage is a tad higher, 1.488V, but my H100 temps are much higher, 92°C w/25°C ambient, so your custom loop WC is totally superior in every regard there

What mobo you using?

1.47V!!! You about 0.12V braver than me. 1.4V is the beginning of the instant pop zone so congrats on holding your nerve for a nice suicide run under water.

Congrats, if you are worried about your chip degrading/failing you can find them cheap enough to have a spare on hand.

There is no instant pop zone that I'm aware of at least. Idontcare pumped over 2v's in his 2600k (Oops moment) and it didn't pop. :)

I wouldn't consider 1.47v's a suicide run.

These chips are a whole lot tougher than one thinks.

My 2550k is a defective 2500k and it didn't pop :D

Congrats, I lost my courage at 4.9. CPUID showed me maxing at 1.48 volts. What was your previous high (before the Corsair)?

Man I would have had a heart attack! Ditto on the props, OP.

Funny, I have a 1055t and my goal was always 4ghz :awe: I made with 3 cores disabled, does that count? :D

4.6, was stable until I updated Bios. Then 4.5 was the highest I could get. Was a very odd bios update!

My 3770K $hits all over your FX8350 in every single application. And it barely costed me anymore than your chip did. Happy?

Lol, I am debating buying a 3770 and putting my 2500k in a non ROG MB. Not sure it is worth the $300 for just playing AC3, Dirt3 and Farcry3

Yea if it's just for gaming your CPU isn't what's bottlenecking you it's your GPU as the poster above me said. That said, I have one of the best clocking IB I've seen and am putting it up for sale soon if you were looking for the best :D.

I was going to order a 7950 boost to replace my 6950. However leaving the country in a few days and won't be ordering until I get back. Then recently was hearing more rumors about the 8000 series coming out.
