Retail brick and mortar only. Part number 4700789. I caught it from the early Sunday paper and saw that it was long sold out online at $124.99. Enjoy!

Yeah... It's a nice price and I kind of want one for my old P4. But it's crazy how much more expensive old DDR is vs DDR2. Hope it drops another $10-20, and I'll pick one up. Or else I've save the money towards a new Core 2 build.

It's almost like the SDRAM fiasco. Near-nothing prices suddenly shot up as the industry formed illegal cartels to cut supply and destroy excess inventory... only this time they simply saw it coming a mile away and cut production before all that was necessary. ;) Nearly any DDR400 system can be a decent gaming system again with a 7800GS and 2GB of this.

Anyway, a friend and I stopped by for two of these packs and the rebates wouldn't print. We had to fill out forms to have them mailed to us. Last time I filled one of those out they sent the wrong form and then had to give me the rebate amount in cash, but I live so far away that this is not worth it (I'd RATHER deal with the rebate hassle than drive another hour+ there and back). That was for an HDTV tuner card.

the oc register ad shows them as 79.99 and makes no mention of a rebate.

EDIT...

sorry that's for the 2x1gb sticks of pc4200 ram.
