Building a new computer for work/gaming and need some advice to finalize parts. Budget is $900-$1000 buying parts in canada from ncix. Already have the case a sugo03 and will be using current monitor 19" 1280x1024 for now though upgrading eventually. First time building a computer so anyways this is what I have so far:

DFI LP Jr P45-T2RS mATX LGA775 P45 DDR2 2PCI-E16 1PCI CrossFire SATA2 RAID HD

Samsung SH-S223Q/BEBN Black DVD+RW 22X8X16 DVD-RW 22X6X16 DL16X/12X Lightscribe DVD Writer SATA OEM

Corsair HX520W CMPSU-520HX ATX Triple 12V 40A 24PIN ATX Modular Power Supply 120MM Fan 2X PCI-E

Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Dual Core Processor LGA775 3.0GHZ Wolfdale 1333FSB 6MB Retail

Mushkin HP PC2-6400 4GB 2X2GB DDR2-800 CL5-4-4-12 240PIN DIMM Dual Channel Memory Kit

Western Digital Caviar SE16 640GB SATA2 7200RPM 16MB Hard Drive OEM 3YR MFR Warranty

Silverstone FP33-B Black Aluminum 3.5 Drive Bay 3 Port Fan Controller

Gigabyte Radeon HD 4850 625MHZ 1GB 1.92GHZ DDR3 PCI-E Corssfirex Dual DVI-I HDCP HDTV Out Video Card

Scythe S-FLEX SFF21F 120MM Cooling Fan 1600RPM 28.0DBA 63.7CFM FDB

Alright so what I'd really need some advice on is motherboard. So this being my first build I don't plan on overclocking or anything right away. Also no plans for crossfire, so board might be a bit overkill..... but the price is good right now. The other option is the asus p5q-em but only save $3 with it and its kind of iffy if I eventually want to overclock. The proven board for matx would be p5e-vm and I'd save $10 there but kind of like the p5q-em for saving a bit of power.

All opinions appreciated, Thanks a lot.

I don't know much about the mAtx high end motherboards. Seem most matx are more about HTPC uses these days, or just the basics. So, where, for an ATX system, I would say it's overkill, esp with DFI's settings and such for OCing, it's much more difficult with an mAtx restriction.

I would say you might want to check out Newegg.ca. I did some pricing, and they have some stuff much cheaper then NCIX for some items, at least enough IMHO to cause me to split up the purchase from multiple vendors.
