finalizing components for new pc

here are the parts for the new pc i will be building:
motherboard: MSI "K8N Neo4 Platinum" (ultra)
cpu: Athlon 64 3500+ 90nm (winchester)
psu: Antec 480W
memory: CORSAIR XMS, Xtra-Low Latency 2-2-2-5, 184-Pin 1GB(512MBx2) DDR PC-3200
video card: 6800 GT pci-express (i don't know evga or asus or another brand)
hard disk: Western Digital Raptor 74GB 10,000RPM SATA Hard Drive

Can you recommend a case that will be compatible with these parts? Also are the parts compatible? Is the psu good? For video card, which should i get (evga, etc.)? Can you rate this system?

I don' think you could get much better other than the possibility of adding a secondary drive just to store stuff. The psu should be fine. For the case, I'm an Antec fan with leanings towards the Sonata, but their average joe case is very nice as well, if your looking for a gaming case I can't help much. Compatibility shouldn't be an issue. Nice rig.

i was leaning towards coolermaster cases for their simple design but i'm not sure yet. what about 6800 GT manufacturer? is evga good for 6800GT pci-express?

Your component selection is solid, I can't even pick a nit. One good addition would be a Zalman 7000 al-cu heatsink. It's quite a bit quieter than stock and looks cool to boot.

Most of the video card manufactuers use the base reference design for the 6800 so it doesn't make a whole lot of difference which one you get. I would say buy based on price and warranty. I have an evga 6800 and like it. The price was right but evga has a shorter warranty than many others so keep this in mind if you are going to keep the card a long time.

Cases are a very personel thing since looks comes into play. Just pick something you like but make sure it has good air flow. Too many case these days have restricted vent openings which leads to higher temps and/or more noise. 120mm fans are all the rage but they are not strictly necessary.
