Hopefully you didn't sell anything to a ruhtard who doesn't know what they're doing and will blame you when they can't get the parts working.

This +1

Buyer: Negative feedback left due to not being able to overclock seller's CPU using my stock Intel heatsink.

Seller: WTF ?!!??

I did much the same thing but on Craigslist----

Sold:

i7 920 ($175)
Asus RII Gene motherboard ($100)
6GB kit of Corsair Dominator ($80)
XFX 5750 ($75)

Total of sale = $430. (The video card was just sitting around, collecting dust.....)

Went to Microcenter and bought cpu and motherboard; bought memory from Newegg:

SB 2500k ($150)
Gigabyte Z68X-UD3H motherboard ($110 before $15 MIR)
8GB kit of G. Skill Ripjaws X memory ($60)

Total spent = $320.

Net gain = $110 in my pocket (Subtracting the XFX video card still put $35 in my pocket.)

I'm never surprised by what people will pay for 2 year old hardware, ebay or Craigslist.

I wish I could have that luck. I'm trying to sell a Q6600 and a DFI X48 mobo, both NIB. Trying to get something almost what I paid for them, but I guess that's probably not happening. I paid $200 for the chip and $260 for the mobo. I'd let them go for
$350 though.

Q6600s regularly go for less than a Benjamin here and on eBay. NIB might break $125. An X48 board might fetch another $60-80. Good luck breaking $200 total.

Unfortunately, that's what happens if you keep the hardware too long. Get used to yearly or so upgrades.....your final cost will be dramatically lower in the long run.
