Final round interviews coming up...

I somehow got final round interviews with IBM and Huron. The bas news is that they are both on the same day, and neither company wants to reschedule the interview. If it came down to a choice of one or the other, who would you pick.

Ive read some bad stuff about IBM, overworking its employees, etc, but it is IBM.

Huron got voted fastest growing startup in 2005 by Entreprenuer magazine.

Does anyone have any other information, other than whats out there on the websites? The actual positions are IBM BCS and Huron LBC.

I recently was given a 3 month notice to find another job within or without IBM. I was wroking for ibm.com. They are in the midst of replacing many people in US with job labor in Brazil or India.

Can one of those nationals do your job that you are applying for cheaper? Something to think about. Lenovo in RTP is hiring.

good sh1t, but prepare to be owned by partners of the firm... unless you prepare like crazy

Actually had interviews with partners at E&Y, ACN, IBM, and Huron already. They werent too bad, pretty laid back.

If you want a real career, go with the smaller startup and see if you can take over to become the grand poombah.

make ibm reschedule, how did you manage both to be on the same day, they should have asked you when you were free.

I worked for IBM for 10 years. Great place to work. They do a lot of training of their employees and there is tremendous potential for advancement. Pay is not great to start, but there is great upside. IBM does stand for I've Been Moved as well, so you have to be prepared to move to take advantage of the opportunities. I moved 4 times in the ten years I was with them, and was likely scheduled to be moved again when I decided to leave.

I left simply because I wanted more autonomy over where I lived and I wanted to start making the final decisions in business. IBM is a large company, and many decisions are made in HQ so it can be a little frustrating.

Since it is through college recruiting, it is one of those big 2-day affairs they send all the new kids to. Just happened to be the same week.
