Ok, I think I have all the components for my new comp. I am hoping that if you look it over and see any possible issues with it, that you will let me know. Trying to avoid any problem. I will be overclocking. Money is not a big issue. Computer is primarily for gaming. I plan on using eVGA's step up program to buy 2 9800's when they come out. Thanks for any input.

for your storage I would recommend getting two 500GB drives and putting them in RAID1... if one drive fails no data is lost.
raptor is a good choice for an OS drive

I would avoid creative like the plague. horrible drivers. use built in sound...

When you upgrade video cards, it might be a good idea to sell your current ones on ebay and buy new ones. The eVGA step up does NOT allow cross shipping. (so you could be stuck without video cards for a while).
I like how XFX gives a lifetime warranty to you AND to another person you sell it to. So it makes it ideal for a sell/buy upgrade path.

I would recommend the E8400 CPU instead. It is a little bit cheaper, has faster stock speed (3ghz vs 2.4), it can OC higher, takes less power, makes less heat, usually performs better in games due to higher clock speed, and SSE4 capability makes it encode video faster then the Q6600 (which is normally the quad core domain).
Then you can sell it for very little depreciation (compared to the Q6600 that is) when the new penryn quads come out in a month or two and get one of them instead. Since the E8400 is a just released refresh of the E6850 dual core, and the Q6600 has been out for a year is a due for a 45nm refresh any moment now.

1000 watt psu is way way overkill for that system. and yes, too much room can be a bad thing. Even with two GPUs you can easily use a 500ish SLI rated psu.

Do not avoid Creative. The soundblaster is an excellent product...drivers work perfectly and sound is 2-3X better than built in audio.

You don't really need to blow $170 though. A $50-100 sound card will get the job done perfectly.
