What do you guys (and girls) think? Any changes before I buy this thing?

I think it damn near perfect if I was buy a high end system it would look very similar. The only thing I'd change is the heatsink, only because I love my Zalman 7000. If I couldnt get a zalman I'd get thermalright.

Why are you getting 2 250GBers... do you really need 500GB+ of space? I'd get 1 250GBer and two 74GB raptors if you're spending that much cash, and put them into RAID 0 for the speed boost.

NEC Drive is great, but why go with the dual layer? You can't find dual layer media and even if you could, it would be obscenely expensive. I'd get a Lite-On DVD+/-RW since it writes really well for a cheap price, and also writes all the protections there are.

Processor, RAM, good choices. I'd get the MSI nForce3 motherboard... it's got more features than other mobos and it's fast and stable. I'd also get the ATI x800XT if you're looking to spend that much.

That's my opinion, I think the rest of your PC is lookin good 🙂

Good Lord man. I will give you my opinion after I'm done wiping up this drool all over my keyboard. 🙂
That's one hell of a nice system you're getting.

Thanks =) I do tons of Digital Video and graphics work, and it's amazing how quickly 250 gigs gets filled up. dual layer media will eventually become widespread and fairly cheap. Since I'm building a custom case, I am building the case according to the drive. Therefore, if dual layer burning becomes standard, I don't want to be kicking myself because I didn't get a dual layer burner. MSI and I don't get along very well. I gave MSI a chance in the past and didn't like it that much. Thank you for your suggestions.

Looks good, but why not ditch that Via K8T800 chipset board and get a Nforce 3 250 board that has a "working" pci/agp lock?🙂

Yes, the NF3 250GB might be a nice option. I hear the MSI and Epox are good boards, only like $20 more. Also if you are going to OC you should get some faster memory. Otherwise looks good, but i would personally go with the NF3 250.

Dude, that power supply is OVERKILL.

I don't even know how good thermaltake power supplies are. If I were you, I would get something in the 430-480 range from a quality psu manufacturer.
