The Taisol CGK760092 is a pretty good heatsink. I've also heard a lot about Swiftechs but I've never used one. Globalwin's WBK 38 could also be another one to consider. As far as fans go, the 60mm Delta "black label" moves the most air out of any other 60mm cpu fan, but it is LOUD. Go for a Sunon fan if you want to keep noise to a minimum.

I don't know which IBM deskstar that is but just make sure you get the 60GXP model and not the 75GXP. The 60GXP is the newer, less problematic drive.

Other than that everything looks good to me. It will be a kick ass system.

WOOPS......I copy and pasted an outdated version of my text file. I'll edit the top.

I don't know why the shipping is "so cheap"....doesn't seem that cheap to me....but I guess newegg might be based in California, which is where I live?

Your system is configured pretty closely to the one I am about to put together. You might want to reconsider the MSI K7 Master. This was my number one choice board up untill today, I read a lot of horrible things about it, as far as people returning 2-4 of their boards and still not being able to get a working one. Also some who have killed their 1.33ghz and some rather lengthy and nit-picky procedures just to get the thing to post. I also read a lot of good things about the board today which is why I was going to buy it in the first place, every review I read loved the board, untill I read a lot of posts on amdzone today. I suggest you go over to their Athlon mboard section and search for k7 master, and you will see a lot of complaints, and a lot of praising. I wish I never stumbled upon this info today, however I just cant deal with having to return a part even once. I hope that, if you do get this board, you are one of the ones that have little to no problems, you will have a great board if so... Other than that, great config, very nice, good luck.

Ok Courtland, I'll take your advice and NOT go to AMDZone :D I think doing this will save me a lot of trouble and confusion! hehehe

Stick with the MSI board, Abit is crap IMO. Also, since you don't seem to be worried about price too much, I'd get the Hercules Gametheater XP. Same chip as the Santa Cruz, but alot more features. What about speakers?

I will be using headphones, so I'll just stick with the turtle biotch. As for the mobo, I'm confused again!! aaahhhh.....I can't decide between the Epox 8K7A, or the MSI K7 Master...well....I lot of people have been talking about the Epox lately...and they are both virtually the same board....so WTF I'll get the Epox. Done.

Lucky SOB, (thats envy talking)

That is a KICK ASS system, probably the best one can put together these days, I wonder what your fps ans 3d scores would be...

I see you have money to spend, but no need to trow it away. The VR glasses in the Delux GF3 arre the only reason they cost $60 more, they are not worth it, 5 mins and you get a headach. The LCD is not perfect either so (they cannot go completely blank) therefor you still see the original screen too, which is disturbing.

I recomend the GF3 Pro (i think $600), but has some of the things that are turned off in the basic GF3 available (also i think a higher core/mem speed)....the High-End sys review on anand tech yesterday has some info on that, maybe you should look into it.

Anand tech :

<< Although NVIDIA has announced the Quadro DCC, it's still impossible to find an individual card for purchase. You can buy it in a complete OEM system at this point, mirroring the situation at the launch of both the Quadro and Quadro2 Pro. The Quadro DCC offers essentially the same programmable GPU found in the GeForce3, but is clocked higher and enables certain features that were left disabled on the GeForce3. Among these features is enhanced support for anti-aliased points and lines, which, although it isn't a commonly used feature with most users, was an extremely poor performance point for the GeForce. >>

P/S: I have the Sidewinder Force Feedback 2, it is just great, try MechW4, bumping into another Mech makes the stick almost jump out of you hands (COOL). Problem comes with racing games, the optical sensor that activats the motor makes the joj stick fall to the side, for example when in the middle off a race you exit to the option menu and let go of the joystick, so when you return your car would probably bump into some other one or off the track. I recomend puting tape on the little sensor, but don't forget to remove it after the game, those little Microsoft motors where not desinged to run 24/7.

Still I hate you, I want that system, I WANT IT :)I WANT IT

heheh, IT'S MINE! all mine!! ;)

Seriously though, what power supply should I get? I was going through the order process for directron for the case and power supply, then found that they were going to completely #@$! me in the shipping cost, so I decided to order the case from newegg. I need a power supply recommendation.
