either they messed up and its supposed to be FFXII or its just the regular FFVII on a blue-ray disk. i'm sure we would have heard something by now if there was an actual remake of the game.

and really, whats so special about it anyway? everybody practically dies when they hear FFVII

why the hell do people keep playing that game? it isn't the best final fantasy game, nor is it the second best. at most it's the 3rd best FF game, and i'm not sure that it's better than 9.

Could it be that other people actually... *gasp...* have a different opinion than yours?

XIII is for the PS3 not XII. XII will be on the PS2.

Which are your favorites then? My favorite is FF1, strangely enough, followed by FF6.

Well, at least one of us here built a computer with a Voodoo 4 in it just to play FFVII in all its 8-bit palettized glory with 2xAA to boot...so yeah, this is interesting news for me.

i think most people who think FF7 is the best FF game did not play any of the SNES ones. and so, while they may have different opinions, it is because they didn't play the best 2, being 4 and 6 (in that order).

FF1 is my fav also. They should redo that one for one of the newer consoles or something, but don't go overboard with it. just update the graphics a little bit and allow more than 4 characters for names.

Never played 4, however 6 is excellent. FF VII still holds a special little place in my heart due to it introducing me to the genre in a massive way. Now if I could only find time to finish FF X-2, Xenosaga I&II, and Oblivion.

As much as I loathe thinking about giving Sony any of my money, I'd shell out if it was completely redone with updated graphics in a completely 3D world and the cutscenes were in at least 720p quality.

Iono, but none of the FF's come close to Chrno Trigger in my book. I never liked 7 that much anyway, 1, 4, 6, and to a lesser extent 9 was great fun to me.

see, you're a noob, and so your opinion doesn't count. because FF4 and 6 will never have had the impact on you that they had on people who played them when they were new. 4 in particular was so much more advanced than anything that came before it in terms of plot and character development. going from NES RPGs to SNES RPGs was simply incredible. FF7 merely builds upon 4, rather than remaking the genre (as 4 did).

See how easy that works?
