Ok, Since I now have a Playstation 3, I am going to pick up a Playstation 2 tomorrow to go along with it. And I would like to get all of the Final Fantasy games to go with that.

I have searched online, with no luck yet to find a complete list of Final Fantasy games made for the PS2. Since I was a Nintendo fan only in the past, the only ones I know of are

Nes
___

Final Fantasy

SNES
_____

Final Fantasy 2
Final Fantasy 3
Final Fantasy Mystic Quest

GameCube
_________

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles

Playstation
_________

Final Fantasy IV
Final Fantasy Anthology V / VI
Final Fantasy VII
Final Fantasy VIII
Final Fantasy IX

Playstation 2
__________

Final Fantasy X
Final Fantasy X-2
Final Fantasy XII
Final Fantasy VII Dirge Of Cerberus

If I have missed any single player games. Please let me know what they are and ill add them. :)

I should also mention, I am only interest in the U.S versions. Out of that list, how do you determine that ?

Oh, and I am also only interested in single player. Not interested in the online expansion's. :)

You just got your PS3 a few weeks ago. Forgive me, but wouldn't it have made more sense to spring for the 80GB backwards compatible model for $100 more? I forget where you bought it, any chance you can exchange it? Playing PS2 games on the PS3 is supposed to be SO much better in HD compared to the PS2.

It came from Gamestop. I stood in the store of over an hour trying to decide which version I would get. But I decided on the 40 gig..because I figured if I wanted to play PS2 games, I would just put that $100 difference on a PS2 itself. And at the time, I had no interest in PS2 games.

Which is my screwup, because at the time, I didn't realize at all the games would look better on the PS3.

But I highly doubt they would allow for an exchange.

Are there any sites that compare visuals from PS2 games on a PS2 compared to the same game on a PS3 ?

A few sites come up if you Google "PS2 upscaling" but I haven't looked through them enough to find the best examples.

purbeast was just raving about how good God of War looked upscaled on his PS3 the other day. I have no personal experience with it, I'm sure others can tell you more.

My friends basically said that some late generation PS2 titles looked like launch ps3 games. GOW 2 for example looks AMAZING.

Not a real FF, BTW. It was just labelled that outside Japan.

Do you want the portable games too?

Yea, I know Mystic Quest wasn't true Final Fantasy. But there were something about it I liked when I played it.

Nah, Just for consoles and the single player ones.

I still love the battle music in that game. The remix of it is fantastic!

The game is so easy though... even my retarded little brother (note that he is actually mentally retarded) can play the game decently :Q.

You're missing Final Fantasy Chronicles on the Playstation. It's not the same as Crystal Chronicles. It was a combo of Final Fantasy IV (II in US) and Chrono Trigger. They added a movie at the end of each game, and intro movies. It was wicked cool.

Also,
Playstation - Final Fantasy Tactics
GBA - Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced
PSP - War of the Lions (FF Tactics remake)

Edit: Err, I guess maybe you have that, now I see you have FF IV listed under the Playstation.
