Final Fantasy IX or Chrono Cross

I haven't played either of these and was just curious on what everybody thought about them. Which one should I get first?

chrono cross got higher scores across the board than ff9, so i guess i'd recommend it if you just want a better _game_

ff9 is a serious nostalgia trip if final fantasy has ingratiated itself to you over the last decade though

They are both great games. If you can, rent both and see how well you like them.. or..

I tried to rent ff9 at blockbuster today but the workers there said it was being released today and wasn't prepped to be rented... gee does it really take that long to slap a sticker on it and then scan it?

I personally couldn't handle Chrono Cross.. don't ask me why, don't know.. I just didn't care for it at all. FF9 though, I LOVE!

FF9 was a much better experience for me. Everything was perfect. CC, on the other hand, felt like it wasn't meant to be on the PS - the graphics and control are so slow! I couldn't stand it.

Buy Both....Chrono Cross has a little weird battle system but it seems like a cool game.....I just Started Final Fantasy IX and it is already old school and i love it....mages and Black magic and old airships heheeh awesome....get FFIX First then go for Chrono Cross.
