Final Fantasy IX on PC?!

I've heard rumors going around saying that Square Enix is currently working on a pc version of FF9. :eek: Anybody heard about this? Know anything about it? Is it true?! Please let me know something. Because if its true, than it really it will be a dream come true.

Google got me wondering.

That's awesome! I never beat it, so I might have to jump on that and finish it after so many half-way playthroughs with the PS1 and PSN versions. Hopefully it has the fully realized soundtrack and no MIDI BS, but this isn't just some old PC re-release like Final Fantasy VIII on Steam is.

Wow. Now Square just needs to bring Chrono Trigger and the PS4 remake of FFX to Steam and I won't ever need to bust out a console ever again.

FFXV getting officially announced for PC would be great. I average about one full price game per year, and FFXV would do it for me. From what I've heard, it's all but guaranteed, but the official announce would still be nice.

Assuming my wife is done with FO4 by then.

I didn't leave it out. You're replying to the wrong person for that. And they never said their list was comprehensive, anyway.

My information is up to date. Yours was out of date, though. My label of your information as out of date is correct. Because it is/was. 13 LAUNCHED with nothing higher than 1080p and a lot of other options missing. It was updated a few months later. But all of that was months ago.

I mean, you either follow this stuff or you don't. If you don't, at least pad your statement with disclaimer.

So why bring up XIII-3? Trying to save face?

Dude, you are trying too hard. 13-3 is the most recent game and why I said it's likely it will be 1080p only because Square Enix is going backwards. Claiming that I am referring to the older FF13 is you saving face, and then accusing that's what I am doing is very naughty of you, especially when in this very forum I was the first to complain about 13-3 regressing the series by limiting to 1080p.

I still don't get it. Well good news is, I got my answer; FF9 is officially coming to PC and my world has got a little more brighter. :)

FF9 was bad. a friend gave it to me and i played on a PS emulator, the game was just not fun, moogles everywhere. FF7 was absolutely awesome and i also loved FF8 except for all the summon cutscenes.

what i truly wish SquareEnix would do it release the sequel to The Last Remnant on the PC.

So you're just being backwards for no good reason? Each successive release was better than the last as far as performance and PC options are concerned. Again, if you actually followed this stuff, you'd know that.

And again, why are you bringing up FFXIII-3? This thread is not about that, and again, your statement was way off base anyway.

^^Yeah. :) (!) Maybe there's some link or connection from FF9 inside FF13 dash whatever. I don't know, just guessing here. :D
Oop! There FF9 goes again! Showing its self in all other FF games, which makes it the best ever! Don't see how some people don't like it.... :Hmm:
