Final Fantasy 2 (IV) - for Wii's VC

I believe the Wii also has FF4's sequel on WiiWare if you haven't played that yet. It was released in Japan on cell phones, but over here on the Wii.

Tried it. Didn't like it. Too spoony for my tastes.

You spoony bard!!!

FF2 for SNES (FFIV to your international snobs) is probably my favorite game of all time. Great game, definitely worth it if you've never played it before. I'm currently working my way through the updated version for the DS.

I borrowed this on the Gameboy Advance a couple years back and played it. I loved it. I personally thought that FF6 was one of the worst pieces of crap that Square has ever released, but I thought 4 was spectacular and really engrossing.

What.

I had a great time playing this game. That was until I spent about an hour and a half grinding to level up and on my way back to the save point I got a game over from a random encounter. I'm sad that I never got to finish.

I'm interested in what you think about FFVII, FFVIII, and FFIX.

i think iv is the best of the ones i've played. better plot twists than vi. and vi had that annoying element where the main character would leave for big stretches, and would be gimpy when she got back. i liked ix better than vii. ix was a more positive and lighthearted of a game.

III didn't really have a "main character" per se. There were a few that you could consider the focus points...but it wasn't like Cecil in II or Cloud in VII.
