You already have the processor? I don't see one on there, unless you forgot to put it on it's own line.

Great components all around. The only suggestion on my part would be to get an Nforce 3 250 chipset motherboard like the Chaintech VNF3-250 for $95 If you plan on overclocking, this board will be better as it has a PCI/AGP lock and it received a Silver Award in the latest Anandtech Review

Otherwise, great system.

Someone clarify this, I heard in another post that SATA is only good for 10K drives since the bottleneck would be in the drive itself, not the interface with a 7200RPM setup? I suppose that might save you a few $$ (or lose you if you go all out) if that's right. Otherwise she looks good

I have also heard that there are no advantages to SATA yet, unless the SATA drive is a raptor. That's why I got one :) The rest of the system is nearly identical to mine, and it rocks, go for it!

The NEC 2500 is a great drive and some initial tests show it firmware upgradeable to the 2510 which adds Dual Layer DVD+R support... but

The final verdict of the firmware upgraded 2500 reliability is not in.

So I would consider spending $20 more to ensure reliable DL compatibility
