I'm willing to put some more money into certain areas if you really think I need it but also remember that I still have to buy a monitor and probably a stronger PSU

Thanks for all the help

are you going to be overclocking your comp or not? I personally would go with
a better case somthin that looks cool with more airflow.
3200+ venice not a 3500+.
maybe a 7800 geforce if you can afford it if not thats a good card.
maybe some ocz gold vx or crucial ballistix ram. pc4000 or somthin around that

Why a 3200+ as opposed to a 3500+

I really wanted a different case but it cost 160 so that was out of the question

I might consider the 7800 if anyone can explain why the 3200+ as opposed to the 3500+

The BenQ DW1640 is supposed to be a little better than the NEC this round.

Is that case a personal preference or something? I wouldn't trust the PSU in it for anything. The Antec SLK3000B would be nice alternative. As for a PSU, This Fortron is a nice quality unit that will get you by, but if you want something really nice that will last an upgrade cycle or two, get this Seasonic

The Epox EP-9NPA-Ultra is well worth the minimal extra cost.

If you don't want/need/can't afford 2GB of ram (budget DDR500) right off the bat, then at least get a single 1GB DDR500 stick.

If you are willing to take a hand at overclocking, the 3200+ would be just as good.
