Filthy PCs... WARNING: Graphic images!

The frog is probably fake, but I cringe thinking about what insects could've crawled into my tower every time I have to open it up, and I keep it clean! Bugs love heat (right up until it kills them), and a gaming rig is definitely nice and warm. Luckily i've never found anything quite as bad as this, just the occasional tiny beetle or something at the bottom of the case.

the only system i wouldn't deal with is a smoker's computer

i don't get the chip bag / cd tray / mouse one - looks like someone used an open case as a trash can?

I had the same thought, not sure if those were not staged.

The dust ones are bad and some look moldy? Mold needs moisture, not sure how the computer functioned with that stuff growing in there. Probably a stored, dead system?

I set an old build on in the a garage cabinet and someone put pool acid in the cabinet on the same shelf. Needless to say the vapors started eating away the components. I should have taken a pic of it.

The small brown banded roach can nest in power supplies and other electronics, I think they prefer the heat.

I should go and check my WHS. Its been chugging away in the closet for years, I don't think I have even looked at it in four months or so. :$

I always dread my sister bringing her PC over to be worked on. Two inches of dust, every fan clogged and even after I blow it out it stinks when it runs like her fetid apartment. Strictly stays on the patio.

Worst dust problem I've had was cleaning a socket 478 heatsink. In fact, that cleaning and subsequent reinsertion was my first foray into "hardware repair" and I truly did not know thermal compound EVEN EXISTED back then.

Also, those nacho chip bags...pathetic and shouldn't have been included.

Those computers and their users had to live in very bad environment, I've seen quite dozens of dirty computers but nothing like this. The dust is rather some sort of dirt and mold rather than just plain dust.

some more of disgusting computer rooms 😛
