i have a netgear rt311 router and i was curious as to what the filters do exactly. here is my current setup which is the default. thanks in advance for any info...

those are to block certain ports, its part of your routers firewalled nature. check www.dslreports.com forums, you will learn a lot there, and apply DrTCP's filters to become STEALTH on the grc test 🙂
 
ok well right now i have a roommate who is a med student at ucla and he cant get access to the biomed library databases and hes called the techies and they tell him its probably because hes behind a firewall. is there anyway around that?
