Filter Beta Ratio

I posted this in the garage but no answers it would seem this is too technical

G35 Filter Beta Ratio: 2/20=15/22

and

M45 Filter Beta Ratio: 2/20=6/19 this filter is 1 inch longer then G35 Filter.

both fit my car...


any how they both say 2/20 but different numbers after the =

It has something to do with the filtration right?
