Filing insurance claim. Worth it? Home owners vs Auto

Per other thread, car got spray painted. The entire trunk and some of the back sides and bumper are spray paitned.

This was parked out behind my house, partially on my property and partially on the neighbor (who told me i could park there)...


Would this be an auto claim, or home owners claim?


Is it worth me even pursuing this after the deductible I might not get any money out of it, and it would be on my insurance record as a claim.

I dont plan on getting the car fixed, because its an old beater and I was trying to sell it for 500-1000

It's a beater that you're going to sell, who cares?

If you need to, go to a junk yard and get replacement parts for dirt cheap.

its an old beater and you have comprehensive coverage on it? what is the deductible?

you probably just want to write it off. don't file it against your home owners, they will drop you
