Files keep corrupting when I send over ICQ/Aim...help

Linksys BEFRSR41 router with latest firmware....using XP. Files are constantly corrupting, no idea whats wrong, seems to happen with exe/zip files all the time. Any help?

Should mention this never happened before...recent changes are a firmware upgrade to the router and the installation of xp.
