So win2k now says drive D needs to be formated. Why would I do that? Its full of great files. When I boot from a dos floppy, all of my files are there to be accessed although the filenames are cut down to 8 characters. I ran Ndd and scandisk from dos and both come up clean. I run windows scandisk and ndd from windows and It cant access drive d. How do I fix this without reformateing? There must be some little data area corrupted that only windows uses that dos doesnt need. What utility will fix a drive from windows point of view? I have already dos copied all the files off this drive but I really want to recover all the filenames as they were.
