i just look up the file names on fileplanet, and then use http://www.filemirrors.com/ to download the file. dont have to wait in line, and 9 times out of 10 they have the file, even if it's just out.

I did, about 3 weeks ago. Went just now for you, figuring (correctly) that the D2 1.09d patch is mirrored there. Click "download" and get this:
