File transfer over LAN causes lockups

When I try to send files over my 2 computer LAN, made with a Linksys networking kit (2 nics and a hub), the computer that is browsing the network freezes up. I ran the winME networking wizard on both machines, and turned on full sharing on all of each computers' drives.
 
do you have the latest updates for both machines for ME? Did the installation of your hub and nics go smoothly? was everything recognized by both computers?

Do you have IPX protocols installed? Are the ports plugged in corectly on the hub?
I'd say check your connections and try reinstalling IPX cuz sometimes the drivers don't take the first time...
 
Connections are fine. IPX wasn't installed on either machine, so I installed it on both. But the problem is still there.
