Can anyone tell me how to transfer a program of 15Mb to a friend over the internet? My email account can only accept an attachment of 1 Mb only. Thank you.

you could upload it to a webspace that holds 15Mb,

you could use aol instant messenger or probably msn messenger which allows for file transfers,

you could use p2p program like kazaa, morpheus

edit>>

you could send it to him/her if you both have mirc irc program

you can send it to me thru aol im and i can put it on a webspace for you

Morkinva, Thank you for your reply. Can you recommend some webspaces that can hold 15Mb? Where can I find those p2p programs?

Here is a somewhat outdated list of free webspace providers. But its not like it used to be. Now they have a lot of restrictions like only html and jpg files, maximum filesizes of 100kb, you can only upload with an ftp client, etc.

Many isp's provide some webspace for their customers, see if yours does.

You can split the file into smaller parts, then reassemble them on the receiving end.

If all this is confusing for you, then your best bet would be to get AOL IM. If your recipient doesn't want to get and install it, then you can send the file to me and i'll then post it on my webspace. If it is sensitive in nature, then you can zip it with winzip and a password.

I have just received ws-ftp from my friend to upload the file to the server of his organization. The problem is now solved. Thank you for your help. Morkinva.
