Help me out here guys I'm trying to figure out if my file transfer speed from my main PC to my HTPC is too slow, I think it is but I get the whole bit/byte thing messed up.

Notice in this screencap the upload is Mb/s second... that should hover closer to 100Mb/s right?

I have Netmeter set to report in kilobits... Thanks in advance.

<-- sucks at conversions

FWIW I'm using Verizons router/modem the Actiontec MI424-WR

just because the network can operate at 100Mbps doesn't mean that all the other components are able to operate at that speed. I would be willing to bet it has something to do with HDD read, or the destination write, speed. as either of those would directly effect the speed of the file transfer.
