File transfer from XP to Vista 64. 30 second pause before running annoyance

Just installed Vista 64 on my laptop and im in the process of loading up all the programs for it. They are all stored on my xp machine in a shared folder. when trying to run files from XP Pro shared folder over network to vista 64, (using windows explorer) I get a 30second or so pause before i get my UAC cancel/allow to run executable message. If UAC is turned off, i still get a little lag that is not existant if i ran them from another xp machine. There is nothing special about my home network, and the vista 32 on my laptop seems to be doing it without the lag from what i see. What is causing this small but annoying hiccup? This is causing me to take longer to do the install process as a whole
