I am using WindowsXP and it seems like Direct Connect sometimes generates these!! (I have 2 .avi files) Any ideas on how to delete them?? XP gives a "Cannot Delete... It is being used by another program or person" error... no matter what I shut down!

The drive is NTFS so I don't have any boot disks that will read it!
Scan and Check Disk don't find anything...

Try something like Process Explorer from Sys Internals.

Select handles in the user interface rather than DLL's. In the handle description it will mention its a file. Search for the process that has a lock on that file. Make sure its okay to kill that process and then delete the file if you can.

I found that explorer.exe is using it... which doesn't seem to help, if I close explorer, it just restarts and has a lock on it again.

Same situation here. Downloaded stuff with DC++ and cant delete them from NTFS drive. Silly solution but for me works deleting the files using Nero.
