File system for digital cameras

Well I was told at work that Olympus Cameras use FAT12, is that right? I thought for some reason it was FAT16... and is it pretty much the same for all digital cameras? Also, if they are autoconnect and therefore show up as a drive letter, and you format them through windows, does it know to format it in this file system or will it default to NTFS or FAT32?

I use FAT32 on my 4GB Microdrive inside my Sony F828. I think NTFS would be exclusively for Windows...since it's a MS file system. Though, I am not totally sure on that.

Anyways, if you stick with anything below 4GB, go with FAT32. 😛
