Here is what I am trying to do:

I have a company laptop that runs Win98SE (with auto IP addressing). I usually d/l files that I wish to transfer or share with my home PC (Win2K Server with SP1). What is the best way to configure my home machine so I can share the files from my work laptop? I would prefer not to mess with any settings on my laptop cuz I need the to connect to the network at work to get stuff done.

Well if your laptop is already set to use DHCP, you might as well set up your WIN2k Server to act as a DHCP server (Like it is at your company). Or if you don't want to set that up, I would just switch between DHCP and hard coding the settings for you home server.

I am assuming you have a network hub at your home that you are using.
